BAJAUR: In a significant step towards sports development in the scenic and peaceful district of Bajaur, District Sports Officer Rahid Gul Malagori held a special meeting with Deputy Commissioner Shahid Ali Khan to discuss a comprehensive strategy for promoting sports at the grassroots level.

During the meeting, Rahid Gul Malagori briefed the Deputy Commissioner on various practical initiatives and plans aimed at the development of sports such as cricket, football, volleyball, hockey, badminton, table tennis, and shooting across the district. He also shared that an annual sports calendar has been finalized, which includes inter-tehsil and union council level competitions to be implemented in phases.

Deputy Commissioner Shahid Ali Khan appreciated the efforts of Rahid Gul Malagori and assured him of full support and cooperation. “It gives me great pleasure that a visionary and proactive sports officer like Rahid Gul Malagori has been appointed in a key region like Bajaur. The youth here possess immense talent, and with proper opportunities, they can rise to national and international platforms,” he said.

The DC further added, “Rahid Gul is not just a thinker when it comes to youth development but also a man of action. I am confident that under his leadership, Bajaur will witness a new era in sports.”

Expressing his resolve, Rahid Gul Malagori stated that he is committed to extending sports activities to every union council and educational institution in Bajaur. “Our aim is to engage the younger generation in healthy and constructive activities and to create platforms where their talents can shine,” he added.

This meeting between the District Sports Officer and the Deputy Commissioner marks a promising development for Bajaur, reflecting how sports can play a pivotal role in peacebuilding and regional growth. If the same spirit and consistency continue, the day is not far when Bajaur will produce athletes who will represent Pakistan at the national and global level.
