KHYBER: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Khyber Capt (Retd) Bilal Shahid Rao inspected medical facilities being provided to the locals of Bazaar Zakha Khel area of tehsil Landi Kotal during his visit to the type (D) hospital of the bordering area on Friday.
Flanked by District Police Officer (DPO) Khyber Rai Mazhar Iqbal, Additional DC Gul Nawaz Afridi, Additional DC (Relief) Irshad Ali and officials of line departments, the district administrative officer examined Emergency, Outdoor Patient Department (OPD), Lab, various wards of the health center.
He checked the attendance of the health staff, medicine list provided to the patients, sanitary condition and other facilities.
Medical Superintendent of the Bazaar Zakha Khel hospital Dr Nasir Ali thoroughly briefed the visiting guests of the services being delivered in the hospital.
DC, Khyber met with the patients and their attendance in the hospital and enquired them of their problems.
The residents’ complaint of short of electricity that affected efficiency of the health center and demanded of the district highup to install solar system to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the hospital.
He directed the Additional DC (Relief) on the spot to coordinate with the concerned department to establish a solar system in the hospital to remove the sense of deprivation of the residents.
The district administrator urged the health officials to leave no stone unturned to provide better health facilities to the tribesmen on their door steps.
