PESHAWAR: A high-level meeting was held at the Right to Public Services (RTS) Commission under the chairmanship of Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Shahzada to review and advance the digitalization of public services in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The meeting was attended by Commissioner Zakir Hussain, Director General KP IT Board Dr. Akif Khan, Deputy Director Shakir Ullah, and other senior officers of the Commission.
The primary agenda of the meeting was to discuss the ongoing and future initiatives related to the digital transformation of public services aimed at improving transparency, efficiency, and ease of access for citizens. During the meeting, Dr. Akif Khan briefed the Commission in detail on the digitalization process of more than five hundred public services, highlighting progress achieved so far, technological frameworks, and integration mechanisms across various departments.
The Chair Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the KP IT Board and emphasized that digitalization is a key pillar for ensuring timely service delivery, minimizing human intervention, and strengthening accountability mechanisms. He stressed the need for close coordination between departments to ensure seamless implementation and citizen-centric service models.
The meeting concluded with a consensus on accelerating the digitalization process and ensuring that all stakeholders work collaboratively to make public services more accessible, transparent, and efficient for the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
