CHARSADDA: In response to the ongoing flood situation, the district administration of Charsadda promptly sprang into action under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Azmatullah Wazir. Fifteen individuals who were stranded in the river near the Munda area were successfully rescued. According to reports, the individuals had entered the river to collect wood when they were trapped by the rising floodwaters. Rescue 1122 personnel took part in the operation, overcoming significant challenges due to the high water levels. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Azmatullah Wazir confirmed that all individuals were safely rescued. He acknowledged the difficulties faced during the operation but commended the efforts of the rescue teams, noting that, by the grace of Allah, everyone was brought to safety. In the meantime, Dr. Wazir personally visited communities situated along the banks of various rivers. He urged residents to take precautionary measures and relocate to safer areas due to the rising water levels. He further stated that the district administration remains on high alert, with rescue and administrative teams deployed around the clock to respond to any emergency situation.
