Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Science and Information Technology, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz, held an important meeting in Peshawar with officers from the agriculture departments of District Malakand. The meeting focused on the progress of key agricultural initiatives, including tree plantation, construction of rainwater dams, land rehabilitation, and efficient water management.

Dr. Shafqat Ayaz expressed dissatisfaction over the slow pace of work on development schemes in the agriculture sector of Malakand, stating that delays in farmer-focused projects are unacceptable. He strictly directed the officers to accelerate the completion of all ongoing initiatives so that local communities may benefit without further delay.
He emphasized the need to intensify efforts for afforestation, small dam construction, and water conservation in order to strengthen the agriculture-based economy and improve the environment.
Dr. Ayaz further instructed that weekly progress reports on each project must be submitted to the relevant authorities, and that transparency, quality, and timely execution should not be compromised under any circumstances.
He added that Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Ali Amin Gandapur, has issued clear directions that negligence in the agriculture sector will not be tolerated, and farmers must be provided with maximum relief and support.
Concluding the meeting, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz said:
“Agricultural development, a greener Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, water conservation, and farmer prosperity — these are core elements of the visionary roadmap of PTI founder Imran Khan, and we are fully committed to implementing them at all levels.”
