SWABI: “We are not just building facilities, we are building futures. Empowering our students with digital tools and global languages is our commitment to shaping tomorrow’s leaders.”
This is said by Prof. Dr. Ghazala Yasmeen, Vice Chancellor of Women University Swabi, as she announced the proposed establishment of a Community Development Center on campus.

The initiative, discussed during a meeting with a delegation from KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency), UN Women, and DOST, aims to provide students with access to digital skills training and Korean language courses, preparing them for global career opportunities and entrepreneurial paths.

The visiting delegation included Abeera Farooq (Project Manager, UN Women), Mehnaz Parveen (KOICA), Shahida Shah (UN Women), and Dr. Nadia (DOST). During the meeting, a parallel proposal was discussed for a USD 20,000 project to establish a modern IT lab at the university. The lab would serve as a hub for skills-based digital education, directly enhancing the technical capacity of female students.

Prof. Dr. Ghazala Yasmeen emphasized that both the Community Development Center and the IT lab are aligned with the university’s mission to provide market-oriented, globally relevant education for women in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“This is more than a project; it’s a platform for transformation — where our young women will gain the tools, languages, and confidence to compete on a global stage,” she added.
