Peshawar:
Following directions from Dr. Ibadullah Khan, the Peshawar High Court (PHC) ordered the immediate reopening of all blocked roads and motorways, providing much-needed relief to the public.
For four consecutive days, major highways and motorways remained closed, causing severe hardships for patients, students, laborers, and ordinary citizens, while daily life was significantly disrupted. Acting on Dr. Ibadullah Khan’s instructions, MPA Sobia Shahid approached the court to ensure swift relief for the affected populace.
In response, the PHC directed the Inspector General of Police and the Chief Secretary to immediately reopen all blocked roads and ensure strict compliance with the order.
Dr. Ibadullah Khan said, “The public has been suffering for four days, and remaining silent was not an option. We approached the court, and today the people have received relief.” He emphasized that politics which hold the public hostage are unacceptable under any circumstances. “It was impossible to stay silent after witnessing the hardships faced by patients and students.”
He further stated that the opposition had fulfilled its responsibility in addressing public grievances where the government failed. “Our struggle is solely for public relief. Upholding the rule of law and ensuring public convenience remain our top priorities. Reopening the blocked motorways and roads was the people’s right, and we raised our voice for them.”
Dr. Ibadullah Khan concluded by saying that this achievement belongs not to any individual, but to the people, and affirmed that he will always stand with them.
