Mardan: Women University Mardan celebrated Youm-e-Pakistan with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at its Bakhshali Campus. The event was organized by the Department of Political Science to commemorate the historic Lahore Resolution, which laid the foundation for the creation of Pakistan.
The ceremony was attended by faculty members, administrative staff, and a large number of students who gathered to pay tribute to the vision, leadership, and sacrifices of the pioneers of the Pakistan Movement.
Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana highlighted the historical significance of Youm-e-Pakistan and emphasized the vital role of women in nation-building and the development of society. She remarked that the day serves as a powerful reminder of unity, determination, and collective responsibility to work towards a stronger, progressive, and prosperous Pakistan.
The Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Syed Minhajul Hassan, a distinguished historian and former Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Peshawar, shared his scholarly insights on the historical journey of Pakistan. With nearly three decades of academic service at the University of Peshawar, he reflected on the milestones achieved since independence and highlighted the responsibilities of the younger generation in shaping the country’s future. He urged students to remain steadfast in the guiding principles of Unity, Faith, and Discipline, envisioned by the founding leadership.
Faculty members and students actively participated in the ceremony, making the event vibrant and memorable. The celebration concluded with a renewed pledge to uphold the ideals of the Lahore Resolution and to contribute wholeheartedly towards a strong, united, and prosperous Pakistan.
