PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Syed Fakhar Jehan, on Friday afternoon visited the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium, Peshawar to review the arrangements for the friendly charity match titled “Khel Se Khidmat”, being organized by the Directorate General of Sports.

The match will be played today on Saturday between Peshawar Zalmi and Legends XI as a gesture of solidarity with flood-affected families and for their rehabilitation.

In the match, the cricket legends, leading stars and renowned national players will take part in the much-anticipated event, which is expected to draw a large crowd of spectators from Peshawar and across the province.Similarly,tickets will also remain available at the stadium on the match day.

During the visit, Director General Sports KP Tashfeen Haider, senior officers of the Sports Department, Peshawar Zalmi’s Director Cricket Muhammad Akram, Chief Operating Officer Abbas Laeeq, Director Marketing Ahad and other management officials were present.

The provincial minister expressed satisfaction over the arrangements and assured that the stadium would witness a huge turnout of cricket enthusiasts. He added that after a long time, the stadium will once again host an exciting contest for fans to enjoy.

“This match is a symbol of our solidarity with the brothers and sisters affected by the devastating floods,” the Minister remarked.

It is to mentioned that the entire proceeds from the event will be dedicated to the relief and rehabilitation of flood victims across the province.
