PESHAWAR: The Directorate of Youth Affairs, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, successfully concluded a one-month Basic & Bridal Beautician Skills Training Programme for female youth from the Newly Merged Districts. The initiative aimed to equip young women with practical, market-oriented skills, confidence, and opportunities for self-employment.

The training covered basic and bridal makeup, hair styling, skincare, grooming, product handling, hygiene practices, client dealing, and beauty business management. Participants gained practical knowledge to pursue home-based services, freelancing, and small-scale beauty businesses.

A closing and certificate distribution ceremony was held at the Directorate of Youth Affairs, where certificates were awarded to successful participants. Officials highlighted the importance of providing practical skills to young women, particularly those from underserved areas, noting that such programmes can enhance employability, entrepreneurship, confidence, and economic participation.

The programme was conducted in collaboration with Bella Vita. Ms. Saman Afridi, CEO of Bella Vita and Lead Trainer, conducted the sessions with the support of Ms. Sawera Afridi, Co-Trainer, and Ms. Yamna Afridi, Media Coordinator.

Participants appreciated the opportunity and said the training had strengthened their technical abilities and encouraged them to explore income-generating opportunities in the beauty and personal care sector.

The ceremony coincided with Teachers’ Day, providing an opportunity to acknowledge the contribution of trainers and mentors. Chief Guest Ms. Qurat-ul-Ain, renowned artist and beautician, appreciated the Directorate’s efforts to empower young women through practical skills and livelihood opportunities.

The ceremony concluded with certificate distribution, remarks by trainers, closing observations, and a group photograph.
