Bajaur: Police Constable Muhammad Rahman, who was seriously injured in an attack by militants within the jurisdiction of Salarzai Police Station, succumbed to his injuries and embraced martyrdom. His funeral prayer was offered at Police Lines Bajaur, attended by senior administrative and police officials, Bajaur Scouts personnel, members of the bereaved family, local elders, and people from different walks of life.
According to police, Constable Muhammad Rahman was critically wounded in militant firing in the Mattah Shah area on the night of August 15. He was initially provided medical treatment and later shifted to Peshawar for further treatment; however, he succumbed to his injuries.
A smartly turned-out police contingent presented a guard of honour to the martyred constable. Deputy Commissioner Bajaur Adnan Fareed, Major Umair, and SP Investigation Ajmal Khan laid floral wreaths on the coffin and prayed for the elevation of the martyr’s status in the hereafter.

Bajaur Police paid tribute to the sacrifice of Constable Muhammad Rahman, saying that the sacrifices rendered by police personnel for maintaining peace and protecting the public will always be remembered.
