Islamabad: Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, visited the National Press Club Islamabad and congratulated the newly elected cabinet. During the visit, he appreciated the crucial role of the journalist community, emphasizing that a free, responsible, and well-informed media is indispensable for strengthening democracy.
The Governor met with the newly elected President Abdul Razaq Sial, Secretary Dr. Furqan Rao, Finance Secretary Abid Abbasi, and other office-bearers, encouraging them to live up to the trust placed in them by the Press Club members.
Faisal Karim Kundi highlighted the importance of positive coordination between the media and state institutions under current circumstances and stressed that all stakeholders must play their part in ensuring political stability.
He also invited the newly elected cabinet of the National Press Club to visit Peshawar and assured full support in resolving journalists’ issues, addressing their challenges, and backing the President’s call for the construction of the Press Club building.
