PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Saturday paid rich tribute to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel for their timely arrest of a woman suicide bomber in Dera Ismail Khan, saying the swift action averted a major tragedy.
The Governor said the prompt and successful operation by the CTD saved the district from a potential catastrophe and significant loss of precious lives.
He added that the professional competence and vigilance of the security agencies in combating the menace of terrorism were commendable.
The Governor said the CTD officials who thwarted the nefarious designs of “Fitna al-Khawarij” deserved appreciation and congratulations.
