PESHAWAR: Ihtesham Ali, Advisor to Chief Minister on Health, has said that PTI-led govt was making all out efforts to provide maximum health coverage to rural and urban people alike. This he said during a meeting with Secretary Information Dr. Bakhtiar khan here on Tuesday. Director General Health Dr. Shahid Younas and Director General Information Ansar Khilji were also present on the occasion. Ihtesham Ali while highlighting various initiatives of the health dept said that people need to be informed about their initiatives so that maximum people can get benefitted. He stressed the need for creating awareness regarding all initiatives being taken by govt for the wellbeing of the masses. He asked the DG Health to launch dengue awareness campaign in the province so that people are educated and enabled to take all possible precautionary measures. The Secretary Information Dr. Bakhtiar on the occasion said that Inf dept is always ready to launch any awareness Campaigns, however urged the need for close liaison between the Health and Inf Dept for timely and effective awareness campaigns. “Each and every intervention of Health dept needs to be communicated to the Information dept for projection,” he remarked. On this occasion the Advisor Ihtesham Ali directed his personal staff to liaise with Inf dept and each initiative of the department must be shared with the Inf & PR dept. DG Health Dr. Shahid Younas informed that Health dept was ready to launch awareness campaign against dengue across the province.
