DERA ISMAIL KHAN: District Health Officer (DHO) Dera Ismail Khan, Syed Muhammad Mehsud, has said the district health department has taken emergency measures to deal with the ongoing heatwave and possible flood situation by ensuring timely and free medical services for the public.
He said a special medical camp has been established in Kulachi Tehsil to provide free medical treatment, medicines and essential healthcare services to residents in view of the potential flood threat.
The DHO added that three special medical camps were also set up at Imamia Gate, Kotli Imam Hussain and Daewoo Adda to provide immediate assistance to people affected by the heatwave. Patients received free medical check-ups, medicines and basic diagnostic tests.
Syed Muhammad Mehsud said all camps were staffed by health department personnel, while Rescue 1122 provided ambulance and transport services to support the emergency response.
He reaffirmed the health department’s commitment to utilizing all available resources to provide timely, quality and free healthcare services to the public during emergencies.
