Peshawar: An important meeting regarding the export of meat and animal feed to Iran was held at the Iranian Consulate. A delegation from the livestock sector participated in the meeting, led by Provincial President Asif Khan Awan.
The delegation included General Secretary of the Livestock Cooperative Society Raqia Nadeem, Provincial President of the Poultry Cooperative Society Haji Raj Wali Khan Momand, President of the Beef Association Haji Nazar Zain, and Dairy Chief Executive Hayatullah.
The high-level meeting was chaired by Iranian Consul General Ali Banafsha Khah. Deputy Consul General Moazami was also present on the occasion.
Asif Awan briefed the Consul General on various concerns related to meat exports. The Iranian Consul General assured the delegation of full cooperation from the Peshawar Consulate. It was also decided that meat exports would be carried out at the government level.
Asif Awan further requested that representatives of the livestock sector be facilitated with a visit to Iran so that business communities from both sides could directly interact and streamline trade processes. He also proposed that a delegation from Iran be invited in return, assuring full hospitality on their part.
All members of the delegation gave a comprehensive briefing to the Peshawar Consulate regarding the export of meat and animal feed to Iran. The Iranian Consul General thanked the delegation and reaffirmed his commitment to extending full cooperation.
