Dera Ismail Khan: Important jirga with Suleman Khel tribe in Wana, Suleman Khel are peaceful and courageous tribes residing in the southern region of South Waziristan, IGFC South Major General Mehr Umar Khan Niazi. According to details, an important jirga was held with the elders of Suleman Khel tribes in Wana, which was chaired by Inspector General Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (South) Major General Mehr Umar Khan Niazi. In the jirga, the elders of Suleman Khel tribe reiterated their common commitment to eliminate terrorist elements and facilitators. The participants termed education, awareness and positive character building of the youth as the need of the hour and emphasized that the path to peace and development is possible only through education, tolerance and mutual cooperation. The elders were assured of early commencement of work on projects like Khankot mobile tower, construction of Zalai to Khankot and Khankot to Gul Kach roads. This jirga is a symbol of trust and solidarity between the state and the people and a strong step towards a peaceful and prosperous future for Waziristan.
