MARDAN: In connection with Kashmir Exploitation Day, a ceremony was held at Pakhtunkhwa House, Mardan. Commissioner Mardan Division, Mr. Nisar Ahmad was the chief guest on the occasion. Besides heads of various government departments including Education, WSCCM, TMAs, the rally was also attended by Deputy Commissioner Mardan Wasif Rahman, Additional Deputy Commissioners Syed Fahad Iftikhar, Eid Nawaz Sherani, Iqbal Hussain Khattak, District Attorney Labor Court Syeda Yusra Aman, and a large number of school students.
A rally was also organized under the leadership of Commissioner Nisar Ahmad. The participants raised passionate slogans of “Kashmir will become Pakistan”, expressing their unwavering support for the people of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing the rally and later speaking to the media, Commissioner Nisar Ahmad strongly condemned India’s revocation of Article 370, calling it a blatant violation of UN resolutions. He said that the imposition of curfews, lockdowns, and communication blackouts were failed attempts to suppress the spirit of the Kashmiri Muslims.
He highlighted the ongoing severe human rights violations, including mass arrests of Kashmiris, and denounced India’s sinister efforts to alter the demographic makeup of the region. “India has turned Kashmir into an open-air prison,” he remarked.
He reiterated that Pakistan will continue to support the oppressed people of Kashmir on all diplomatic, moral, and legal fronts. He urged the international community to take serious notice of Indian atrocities and called on the United Nations to fulfill its promise of a plebiscite in Kashmir.
