KARACHI: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa rope skipping team delivered a remarkable performance at the 3rd National Rope Skipping Championship held in Karachi under the auspices of the Pakistan Rope Skipping Federation, securing an overall second position and bringing home the silver medal. The championship saw Sindh emerge as the overall winners, claiming the gold medal with impressive performances.

Led by Coach Muhammad Jalal, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa team participated actively in various categories and produced commendable results. Notably, Muhammad Jalal not only guided the team as a coach but also competed as a veteran player, winning two medals—a testament to his fitness, experience, and dedication to the sport.

One of the most outstanding individual performances came from Muhammad Ammar, a rising talent in the Under-12 category, who impressed everyone with his skills and secured four medals, proudly representing his province. In the Under-9 category, Abdul Rehman also made a mark by winning one medal, showcasing remarkable determination and enthusiasm despite his young age.

The female athletes of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also demonstrated strong potential. In the Under-18 category, Noreen and Iram each earned a medal, proving their talent and contributing to the province’s overall success.

President of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rope Skipping Association, Dr. Farooq Hussain, and Secretary Abdul Rasheed Anwar congratulated the athletes on their excellent achievements and expressed hope that the province’s players would continue to excel at the national level in the future.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s performance in this championship is a clear indicator of the growing popularity and promotion of rope skipping—a sport that combines fitness and athleticism—across the province. The increasing involvement of the youth, both boys and girls, reflects a positive trend towards healthier and more active lifestyles through sports.
