The signing followed His Majesty the King’s acceptance to join the Board of Peace as a Founding Member, an initiative proposed by the U.S. President aimed at bolstering peace efforts in the Middle East and promoting a new approach to resolving global conflicts.
Morocco and Bahrain became the first two countries to sign the Charter. Following the signatures, President Trump announced the Charter’s official entry into force, formally establishing the Board of Peace.
