PESHAWAR: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian organization, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), is carrying out an important initiative to provide food assistance to deserving and disaster-affected people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The project, launched under the Food Security Support Project (Phase III) in collaboration with the National and Provincial Disaster Management Authorities, aims to protect flood and other disaster-affected families from food shortages and provide them with immediate relief. Under this initiative, 10,000 food packages are being distributed across 11 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. So far, 8,000 food packages have been delivered to deserving families in Buner, Battagram, Torghar, Shangla, Upper Dir, Lower and Upper Chitral, and Lower Kohistan. The distribution of the remaining 2,000 food packages will soon be completed in Lower Dir, Upper Kohistan, and Kolai Pallas. Each food package weighs 95 kilograms and includes 80 kg of flour, 5 liters of cooking oil, 5 kg of sugar, and 5 kg of split chickpeas. The distribution process is being carried out with complete transparency under the supervision of King Salman Relief Center, in cooperation with the district administration, local authorities, and the Peace and Development Organization, to ensure that affected individuals receive timely and well organized assistance.
