PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Science and Information Technology, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz, has said that a proposal has been put forward to fully digitize the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly through modern technology, so that all stages of legislation, assembly sessions, and record transfer can become faster, more transparent, and more efficient. He said that, in line with the vision of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur, this initiative will be an important step towards promoting digital governance in the province.
He expressed these views while chairing a meeting with the IT Department of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. The meeting reviewed various IT projects including digital file management, an online voting system, and automated transmission of agendas and proceedings. Dr. Shafqat Ayaz directed the concerned department to submit a comprehensive report soon to implement the digitization plan.
