PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bodybuilding Association has decided to hold the Mr Pakistan Bodybuilding Championship in Haripur in early December, followed by the Mr Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Mr Peshawar competitions, with Swat selected to host the provincial event.

The decisions were taken at a general body meeting chaired by Senior Vice President Pakistan Irshad Khan. Provincial President Saeed Rahman Yousafzai, General Secretary Adeel Khan and office-bearers and members from various districts attended the meeting.

The participants approved previous performance and organisational matters and appreciated the services of association officials. It was decided that coaches of athletes participating in the national championship would also prepare them for the upcoming provincial and Peshawar competitions.

The meeting approved different weight and age categories for junior, master and Mr categories, while separate height categories were also set for Men’s Physique. A five-member committee was formed to finalise the competition classes.

To ensure transparency, weighing, judging and contestant numbers will be completed before the national competition. The association also agreed to invite judges from outside KP to ensure impartial judging.

Participants reaffirmed their commitment to promoting bodybuilding, encouraging new talent and providing better opportunities to athletes across the province.
