PESHAWAR: Adviser to the Chief Minister on Information, Barrister Dr. Muhammad Ali Saif, has strongly rejected the reports regarding the imposition of a province wide curfew, terming them baseless, misleading, and politically motivated. He clarified that life across the province is continuing as normal, with full freedom of movement and uninterrupted commercial activities. Barrister Dr. Saif stated that curfew restrictions are limited only to certain specific areas of Bajaur and Miranshah, where they have been temporarily enforced for the safety of the public and to maintain law and order. He said that portraying it as an extended curfew is an attempt to create fear among the public and to sabotage the province’s development process. He further said that these rumors are part of an organized campaign aimed at disrupting peace and development in the province. “The rumor-spreading mafia cannot mislead the well-aware people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Our government’s focus is on public service and development projects, while the opposition is focused solely on spreading lies and propaganda,” he added. He appealed to the public not to pay attention to such rumors and to rely only on verified information from official sources. Barrister Dr. Saif also made it clear that strict legal action will be taken against those spreading false and misleading information on social media.
