PESHAWAR: The Forest Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has launched a special tree plantation campaign across the province under the title Hafta-e-Maarka-e-Haq in connection with Independence Day. Under this campaign, from August 7 to 14, various plantation events will be organized in all districts with the collaboration of district administrations. These events will take place at government offices, educational institutions, and other public spaces with active public participation, during which a large number of saplings will be planted.

The objective of this special campaign is not only to promote environmental protection but also to highlight the national spirit on the occasion of Independence Day. As part of this effort, on Thursday, August variouse plantation activities were held in Barikot Swat, Basic Health Unit Darora, District Health Office Mardan, Pattan Lower Kohistan, Wari Dir and schools and colleges in Galiyat Abbottabad. Hundreds of fruit and other species of saplings were planted during these events, which were participated in by officers of the district administration, teachers, students, and members of the local community.
