KOHAT: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Aftab Alam has formally launched a registration drive under the “Imran Khan Release Peace Movement” during a visit to the Union Councils Ziarat Sheikh Allah Dad and Choralki.
Accompanied by the former Tehsil Chairman Sajid Iqbal, the Minister inaugurated the Registration Camps as political activity in the area gathered momentum, drawing large numbers of party workers.
Aftab Alam held separate meetings with the local elders, elected representatives and party activists, discussing the prevailing political situation, public issues and the objectives of the campaign. He said the initiative aimed to raise public awareness and ensure the pursuit of rights through constitutional and democratic means.
“The movement for Imran Khan’s release will remain entirely peaceful, with full adherence to the rule of law and the Constitution,” Alam said, adding that the registration campaign would help mobilize wider public participation and build a more organized collective voice.
Local leaders, including Sajid Iqbal, reaffirmed their support, urging the workers to maintain discipline and uphold the principles of peaceful struggle. An awareness campaign was also conducted alongside the drive, informing residents about the movement’s goals and encouraging them to register.
Locals welcomed the initiative, expressing hope it would enhance political awareness and strengthen collective efforts to address public issues.
The Minister directed the local administration and party leadership to ensure the registration process remains transparent, organized and effective to maximize outreach and carry the campaign message to every household.
