PESHAWAR: The National Peace Council of Pakistan awarded honorary shields to officers of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police in recognition of their outstanding efforts in maintaining peace, law and order, and preventing crime in their respective areas.
A delegation of the National Peace Council, led by Operational In-Charge Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Kamal Afridi, along with Chairman Reconciliation Committee Peshawar Division Barkatullah Shinwari, Chairman Tehsil Peshkhtara Abdullah, and District Khyber General Secretary Dr. Shafiq, presented the awards during a special ceremony.
The officers who received honorary awards included DSP Headquarters District Khyber Abid Afridi, DSP Landi Kotal Lal Jan, DSP Peshkhtara Umar Afridi, In-Charge Anti-Car Lifting Cell Abdul Razzaq, and In-Charge Bara Bazaar Nawab, in appreciation of their professional services and effective measures to curb crime.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives of the National Peace Council lauded the dedication, sacrifices, and round-the-clock services of the police officers for the safety and protection of the public. They emphasized that sustainable peace in society is only possible through close cooperation between the police and the community.
The National Peace Council of Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to continue full cooperation with law enforcement agencies in the future to promote peace, harmony, and the complete elimination of crime.
