PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Junior Tennis Team delivered an impressive performance at the Bank of Punjab National Junior Tennis Championship 2026, winning a total of six medals, including three gold and three silver medals.

The championship was held from June 14 to June 18 at Lahore, where young tennis players from across the country competed in various categories.

Among the standout performers, Shayan Afridi secured one gold medal, while Faizan Afridi won one gold and one silver medal. Salar Khan also claimed a gold medal for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Riyan Umar and M. Danyal each earned a silver medal, contributing to the province’s successful campaign.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tennis Association praised the players for their dedication, hard work and outstanding performances, saying the results reflect the growing strength of junior tennis in the province.

Special appreciation was extended to Coach Zakir Ullah Khan for his valuable guidance and commitment to the team’s success throughout the championship.

The Association also acknowledged the support of Taj Muhammad Khan Tarang, Advisor to the Chief Minister on Sports and Youth Affairs, Director General Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tasfeen Haider, and Assistant Director Accounts Shah Faisal for their continuous encouragement and support in preparing the team for the national event.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tennis Association congratulated all medal winners and officials on their remarkable achievement and expressed confidence that the province’s young tennis players will continue to excel in future national and international competitions.
