PESHAWAR: A capacity-building activity for master trainers was successfully conducted under the leadership of the Inspector General of Police and the Provincial TB Control Program, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The program focused on integrating tobacco cessation strategies into the ongoing tuberculosis control initiatives.
The training aimed to equip master trainers with the skills and knowledge required to implement tobacco cessation interventions alongside TB treatment, strengthening public health outcomes across the province. Officials emphasized that such initiatives are critical in reducing TB prevalence and improving overall community health.
The event highlighted the commitment of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa authorities to innovative, integrated health strategies and capacity-building for frontline trainers to enhance program effectiveness.
