PESHAWAR: In a remarkable recognition of his lifelong dedication to dental education, renowned orthodontist and academic leader Dr. Ghulam Rasool has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award 2026 for his exceptional contributions to academic leadership, research, and institutional development in Pakistan.
Currently serving as Principal of the Rehman College of Dentistry, Dr. Rasool brings over 35 years of experience in clinical practice, teaching, and research. He is a member of the Academic Board of the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council and Dean of Orthodontics at the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan.
A distinguished academic, Dr. Rasool has spearheaded significant reforms in both undergraduate and postgraduate dental curricula, contributed to the development of the FCPS syllabus, and played a pivotal role in establishing accreditation standards for dental institutions. He has authored more than 70 research publications and serves as Chief Editor of the Journal of Rehman College of Dentistry (JRCD).
Further advancing Pakistan’s presence in global dental research, Dr. Rasool is set to organize two major international conferences in 2026 focused on health research and orthodontics. His initiatives continue to strengthen the country’s academic and professional footprint in dentistry worldwide.
