PESHAWAR: President of the Peshawar Press Club, M. Riaz, called on Secretary Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Matiullah Khan, in Peshawar.
During the meeting, matters related to the welfare of journalists, strengthening cooperation between the Information Department and the media community, and addressing challenges faced by working journalists were discussed in detail. Both sides emphasized the importance of constructive engagement between the government and the media to promote responsible journalism and ensure timely dissemination of accurate information to the public.
On the occasion, Secretary Information Matiullah Khan appreciated the role of the Peshawar Press Club and the journalist community in highlighting public issues and promoting democratic values. President M. Riaz also highlighted the services of the Press Club and stressed the need for continued support for the welfare and protection of journalists.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to enhance coordination and cooperation between the Information Department and the journalist community in the province.
