The Managing Director of Pakistan Television Corporation, Ashfaq Khalil, along with Director Administration Farhat Abbas Janjua, paid an important visit to Pakistan Television Peshawar Centre yesterday, where General Manager Peshawar Centre Ibrahim Kamal warmly received the distinguished guests.
During the visit, the delegation conducted a detailed inspection of various departments of the Peshawar Centre and expressed keen interest in the ongoing professional activities. On the occasion, General Manager Ibrahim Kamal presented a comprehensive briefing on the institution’s overall performance, ongoing programmes, and future plans.
Managing Director Ashfaq Khalil appreciated the quality of programmes being produced at the Peshawar Centre and directed that popular and high-quality Urdu dramas be dubbed into the Pashto language to provide quality entertainment at the regional level and further promote cultural harmony. He also emphasized the production of a Pashto mega drama serial that would reflect local culture while achieving recognition at the national level.
Director Administration Farhat Abbas Janjua also praised the performance of the Peshawar Centre and assured full cooperation for the institution’s development.
Expressing his views, Ashfaq Khalil said that Pakistan Television is playing a key role in promoting national culture, languages, and traditions, and that the Peshawar Centre is emerging as a strong and dynamic unit in this regard. He reaffirmed his commitment to continue efforts aimed at institutional improvement, modernization, and the promotion of regional content.
General Manager Ibrahim Kamal termed the visit an honor for the Peshawar Centre and reiterated the organization’s commitment to producing high-quality programmes, adapting to modern requirements, and meeting viewers’ expectations in the future.
