ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MOIB) has categorically rejected the latest claims reportedly issued by the so-called Ministry of Defence of the Afghan Taliban regime regarding the capture of posts and alleged damages, terming them false, fabricated, and aimed at misleading internal public opinion.

The statement said that such narratives are part of a recurring pattern of misinformation, and that the Afghan public is unfortunately facing the consequences of terrorism and instability. It added that damages and losses incurred by terrorist groups and their support networks are being regularly updated by the MOIB, along with video and pictorial evidence where applicable, and shared with the media through credible channels.

The ministry emphasized that great care is being taken to provide accurate, timely, and verified information regarding ongoing targeted operations against terrorist elements and their support infrastructure.

It further stated that beyond amplified propaganda circulated through certain media and social media networks, no credible or verifiable evidence supports the repeated claims made by Taliban-linked outlets. According to the statement, such claims have consistently been disproven upon fact-checking.
