PESHAWAR: PCB, Regional Senior Inter-District Grade ll Cricket Trophy2025 concludes, Charsadda players perform brilliantly
In the Peshawar region, Charsadda senior players performed brilliantly in both batting and bowling and secured second position in the region. Najab Khan played the role of the team’s middle order in batting. Many of his innings proved to be important in the team’s victory.
Pakistan U-19 team’s young cricketer Najab Khan scored 403 runs in 9 innings at a strike rate of 66 and an average of 58. His 403 runs included 9 high sixes. Which the spectators enjoyed and received applause. In which he remained not out twice. His best score was 97 not out and he finished seventh on the points table in terms of runs. In the Peshawar region, he is the first-ranked batsman in the Peshawar region in the 21-year category, while overall, he is third in the middle-order position in the Peshawar region.
Thanks to Najab Khan’s excellent performance, Charsadda secured second position in the Peshawar region after tough competition. They won three out of five matches. While taking the lead from two teams. That is, they defeated all the teams in the group.
The Cricket Association and local experts demand that the Pakistan Cricket Board provide opportunities in first-class cricket to these talented young players so that they can further hone their skills at the national level and prove to be a valuable asset to Pakistan cricket.
