Peshawar:A significant meeting took place at the PCSIR Laboratories Complex, Peshawar, between Dr. Liaqat Ali, Director of the National Centre of Excellence in Geology Peshawar, and Mr. Jehangir Shah, Director General of the Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR).
During the meeting, both institutions expressed mutual interest in initiating collaborative work in the mineral sector. It was agreed that a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) or agreement will be signed shortly to formalize this partnership.
This forthcoming collaboration is expected to play a vital role in the socioeconomic development of the region by leveraging scientific expertise, technological innovation, and resource development in the mineral sector.
Both sides emphasized the importance of joint efforts in research, capacity building, and technology transfer to enhance Pakistan’s mineral potential and industrial growth.
