TP Report
Mardan: KP – As Ramadan continues and Eid approaches, the newly appointed doctors and medical staff at District Headquarters Hospital Mardan, along with their counterparts in other districts, are facing an unprecedented financial crisis. Despite serving tirelessly for the past five months, they have not received their salaries, leaving them struggling to provide for their families during this critical time. A letter from MS DHQ Mardan is already sent to authorities on 31/01/2026 but no funding is released yet.
As a Special Reporter, I have witnessed the dire situation faced by these healthcare heroes, who are being forced to choose between putting food on the table and fulfilling their professional duties. The delay in payment has not only affected their livelihoods but also jeopardized the well-being of their families during a time of great spiritual significance.
I urge the Minister of Health and the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to intervene and facilitate the immediate release of funds to disburse the pending salaries of these dedicated doctors and medical officers. It is imperative that the government recognizes the invaluable contribution of these medical staff and takes urgent action to address their plight.
The medical staff at DHQ Hospital Mardan, who were appointed on fixed pay, have been awaiting their salaries since their appointment. Their dedication to the healthcare system in Mardan and surrounding areas is commendable, and it is crucial that they receive their rightful compensation without further delay.
I appeal to the government to treat this matter with the urgency it deserves and release the funds immediately, ensuring that these doctors can provide for their families and celebrate Eid with dignity.
