Bajaur: The newly appointed District Police Officer (DPO) of Bajaur, Muhammad Khalid (PSP), has formally assumed charge of his office. Immediately after taking charge, he visited the Police Lines Bajaur, where he paid homage at the Martyrs’ Memorial, laid floral wreaths, and offered tribute to the everlasting sacrifices of police martyrs.
On the occasion, he stated that the sacrifices of the martyrs serve as a guiding light for the police department and that the prevailing atmosphere of peace is a result of their bravery and dedication. He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring law and order at all costs and to taking all possible measures for the welfare and well-being of the families of the martyrs.
Later, DPO Muhammad Khalid held a special meeting with the SP CTD. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the overall security situation of the district, potential terrorism threats, intelligence sharing, and enhancing mutual coordination. It was agreed that close coordination between the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and district police would be further strengthened to effectively counter any potential threats in a timely manner.
The DPO also directed officials to further tighten security at sensitive locations, keep a vigilant eye on suspicious activities, and ensure joint operations to maintain sustainable peace in the district.
Furthermore, he conducted a detailed visit of Police Lines Bajaur, received briefings on various departments, and reviewed administrative and security arrangements. Emphasizing the need to further improve discipline and professional standards, he issued necessary instructions to the concerned officers.
The arrival of the newly appointed DPO has brought a renewed sense of energy and determination within the district police force.
