DERA ISMAIL KHAN: JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that humanitarianism and our Eastern traditions demand that Imran Khan, the leader of a major political party, should be provided with all the health facilities inside the jail and he should be allowed to be examined by a doctor of his choice. Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the collective survival of the society also demands that we should not bring natural political differences to the point of hostility or conflicts, where the lives of the people are affected and social order is damaged. He said that politics is a reflection of life, and we consider it a means of achieving overall human welfare.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman expressed concern over the growing unrest in the border provinces and said that the entire Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in general and Dera Ismail Khan in particular have been shaken by the horrific attacks by terrorists on the police force. This is the second deadly attack on the Panyala police in the last few weeks in which four police personnel including the brave police officer Faheem Mumtaz have been martyred. He has demanded that the IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa conduct an inquiry into the Panyala incident and ask the Dera Ismail Khan CTD police why the terrorists took away the official SMG gun of SHO Faheem Mumtaz after martyring him? While at that time a heavy contingent of CTD police force was with martyr Faheem Mumtaz, secondly, why was Inspector Faheem Mumtaz not provided with an armored vehicle for operations against highly trained terrorists in complex mountainous areas?
