The final session in a series of consultative meetings regarding the preparation of the upcoming Annual Development Programme (ADP) was held here on Saturday with Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur. The meeting focused on extensive discussions concerning proposed development projects for inclusion in the ADP from the Mardan Division. Members of the National and Provincial Assemblies representing the Mardan Division attended the session and presented their suggestions for new development projects in their respective constituencies. The meeting also included a departmental review of the progress on ongoing development projects within the division.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur stated that the new Annual Development Programme would be a visionary one, laying a solid foundation and roadmap for the province’s development plans over the next four years. He emphasized that the upcoming ADP would be formulated in light of recommendations from elected public representatives, ensuring that new projects reflect the genuine needs of local populations. The ADP will prioritize practical and high-impact initiatives serving the broader public interest. The Chief Minister further noted that a significant portion of development funds for the next fiscal year would be allocated to the completion of ongoing projects whereas projects with 80% and more physical progress will be completed in the next year, resulting in the completion of nearly 50% of ongoing projects. Reaffirming his commitment to equitable development across all regions of the province, the Chief Minister stated that, in his capacity as the head of the provincial government, every constituency is his constituency, and all areas will receive their fair share of development based on population size, backwardness and public needs, adding that no region will face discrimination in this process.
