The Department of Psychology at Kohat University of Science and Technology (KUST), in collaboration with the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC), organized a one-day seminar to highlight the importance of mental health. The event witnessed the participation of a large number of students, faculty members, and psychologists.
Dr. Ambreen Khizar, Head of the Psychology Department and Associate Professor, along with Dr. Saadia Zia, Assistant Professor at the University of Southern Punjab, Multan, graced the seminar as guest speakers. They delivered insightful lectures on contemporary psychological trends and strategies to attain mental peace in today’s fast-paced life.
Speaking at the occasion, ORIC Director Nadir Sarfraz emphasized that such events play a vital role in promoting an academic and research-oriented environment. He congratulated the chief organizer, Ms. Sadaf Iqbal, Clinical Psychologist and Lecturer, and her team for their dedication and the successful organization of the seminar.
At the conclusion of the event, Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Naseeruddin distributed certificates and shields among the guest speakers, organizers, and participants.
On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor of KUST, Professor Dr. Syed Zafar Ilyas, in a meeting at his office, appreciated the efforts of the Psychology Department and ORIC for organizing the successful seminar. He also expressed his interest in future collaborative research projects with the University of Southern Punjab, Multan.
