ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and Irena Genadieva Gancheva discussed Pakistan-Bulgaria relations, parliamentary cooperation, regional developments, and ways to expand economic and people-to-people ties during a meeting on Wednesday.
Gilani appreciated the ambassador’s efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with Bulgaria and the European Union. He also stressed greater parliamentary exchanges, economic collaboration, youth development, women’s empowerment, and continued support on Pakistan’s GSP+ status. The ambassador praised Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace and diplomatic engagement.
