Dera Ismail Khan: Acting on the directives of the federal government, Pakistan Customs destroyed narcotics and other illegal hazardous goods worth PKR 812.125 million in Dera Ismail Khan.
The destruction ceremony was held at Ratta Kulachi Stadium in the presence of media representatives. Addressing the event, Assistant Collector Customs Muhammad Omer Jan stated that the confiscated goods, seized during various anti-smuggling operations, were being destroyed strictly in accordance with the law and prescribed procedures to ensure transparency.
He said that this action not only reaffirms Pakistan Customs’ commitment to combating smuggling but also demonstrates its resolve to eliminate goods that pose a threat to public health and societal values. He added that the operation aims to prevent smuggling, protect legitimate trade, and safeguard national revenue.


According to the Assistant Collector, the destroyed goods included 60,597 kilograms of betel nuts worth PKR 121 million; 129,472 sleeves of cigarettes valued at PKR 534.44 million; 30,670 kilograms of China salt worth PKR 50.78 million; and liquor and other narcotics valued at PKR 105.905 million.
