PESHAWAR: The head of the Pakistan–Palestine Forum and Chairman of the Pakistan Rights Movement, former Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, has announced a peaceful march scheduled for March 29, starting from Khyber and proceeding to Karachi, with plans to continue toward Gaza.

Addressing a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club on Saturday along with members of the Pakistan–Palestine Forum, he outlined the objectives of the march and called for public participation.

Mushtaq Ahmad Khan urged the Government of Pakistan to reconsider certain foreign policy decisions, including what he described as close alignment with U.S. policy, and called for withdrawal from the Gaza Peace Forum. He also made several political and international policy-related demands during the briefing.

He expressed concern over the humanitarian situation in Gaza, stating that the crisis has worsened, with widespread destruction and severe shortages of food, clean water, and essential supplies. He claimed that restrictions on humanitarian aid have further aggravated the conditions of civilians.

The former senator stated that Palestinians have demonstrated willingness for peace, but ongoing developments have continued to undermine stability in the region. He emphasized that the defense cooperation agreements involving Pakistan are intended for the protection of sacred sites and not for external military objectives.

He also announced that in April, the Pakistan–Palestine Forum will participate in an international flotilla initiative moving from Karachi toward Gaza.

At the conclusion of the press conference, he appealed to the public, including doctors, traders, students, women, and youth, to actively participate in the “Pakistan March for Gaza” on March 29 and help make it successful.
