PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the squads for the National T20 Tournament, scheduled to run from March 7 to March 18.

In a significant development for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, matches of the tournament will be hosted at Imran Khan Cricket Stadium, marking the first time the venue will stage National T20 fixtures. The move is being widely welcomed by cricket fans across the province, particularly in Peshawar.

The hosting of National T20 matches at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium reflects growing confidence in the region’s cricketing infrastructure. Following the Quaid-e-Azam (QEA) Trophy matches, Pakistan Super League (PSL) games are also expected to be staged at the venue in the future — a major boost for local cricket development.

Sports circles have termed it historic news for KP, as Peshawar continues to emerge as an important hub on Pakistan’s domestic cricket map.
