BARIKOT: Former Director Information and Chief Coordinator Peace Council Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Noorul Hadi, has said that the Peace Council for Human Rights and Interfaith Harmony Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has dispatched a relief convoy carrying food items and clean drinking water for the flood victims under the leadership of Provincial Chairman, Saleem Gul Dolatzai. He expressed these views while addressing a special meeting of the Peace Council, Tehsil Barikot, which was presided over by Chairman Ayaz Ahmed Khan (Babu). The meeting offered collective prayers for those who lost their lives in Swat, Buner, Shangla, and Bajaur and expressed full solidarity with the affected families. Speakers demanded that the federal and provincial governments declare the flood-affected areas as calamityhit zones, take emergency measures for the rehabilitation of victims, and ensure the restoration of destroyed infrastructure. The meeting was attended by Chairman Peace Council Swat District, Ameer Zeb Bacha, General Secretary Amanullah Khan, Muhammad Ali Khan, Aziz Khan, Irshad Khan, Murad Khan, Muhammad Alam Khan, Wazir Muhammad, and Nasir Ali Khan. At the conclusion of the session, participants reaffirmed their commitment that the Peace Council would continue to support flood victims with all available resources and stand shoulder to shoulder with the government and institutions in relief operations.
