PESHAWAR: The third edition of the Peshawar Literary Festival will be held on April 21 and 22 at Nishtar Hall, organisers announced.
Following the success of its previous two editions, the festival has emerged as a prominent platform for literary and intellectual engagement in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and beyond.
This year’s theme, “Adab, Kasb, Jawan” (Literature, Livelihood, Youth), seeks to position literature not merely as creative expression but as a means of fostering intellectual awareness, critical inquiry and social development.
The two-day event will feature panel discussions, dialogues, poetry readings, book launches and sessions on contemporary issues. A number of prominent writers, poets, scholars, researchers, journalists and artists from across the country are expected to participate
According to the organisers, the festival aims to promote a culture of dialogue while reinforcing Peshawar’s role as a vibrant centre for literary activities at the national level.
They added that the event would also encourage the younger generation to engage in reading, critical thinking and constructive discourse.
The detailed programme and list of speakers will be announced in due course. Literary circles have expressed keen interest in the event, with expectations that the third edition will build on the success of previous years.
