Peshawar: Pakistan Muslim League Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial President and Coordinator for Overseas and Human Resource Development, Iftikhar Khan Chamkani, visited the party’s Women Wing office, where he held a detailed meeting with Provincial Women Wing President Shazia Rehman. The meeting focused on organizational matters, performance of the Women Wing, and future political and organizational strategy.

During the meeting, various steps were discussed to further strengthen and activate the Women Wing, while it was also agreed to develop a new strategy to enhance women’s political participation across the province.

According to a notification issued by the Women Wing, significant changes have been made in the organizational structure. Naghina Shaheen has been appointed as Provincial Vice President, Farida Bibi as Provincial General Secretary, Shabana Muhammad as Provincial Secretary Information, and Nilofer as Organizer for District Peshawar. Sources suggest that organizational restructuring is also underway in other districts, with further appointments expected soon.

Addressing the gathering, Iftikhar Khan Chamkani said that the Women Wing is a strong and fundamental pillar of the party, and no political organization can be strengthened without active participation of women. He emphasized that the newly appointed office-bearers should perform their duties in accordance with the party constitution and manifesto, and work to strengthen the organization down to the union council and grassroots level.

On the other hand, Pakistan Muslim League Central Women Wing President and Member of the National Assembly Ms. Farukh Khan congratulated the newly appointed office-bearers in a telephonic address and expressed hope that women’s political role in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would become more effective and active. She said that political training and inclusion of women is crucial for the party’s future.

Meanwhile, Provincial Women Wing President Shazia Rehman stated that the Women Wing will soon organize a major provincial convention, in which women workers from all districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will participate. She added that the purpose of this convention is not only to further activate the organizational structure but also to formally announce the future political and organizational roadmap from this platform.
