Trump, President of the United States of America, to become a Founding Member of the Peace Council, an international initiative aimed at contributing to peace efforts in the Middle East and adopting a new approach to resolving conflicts worldwide.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad, participation in the Peace Council is reserved for a select group of internationally renowned leaders committed to ensuring a secure and prosperous future for coming generations. The Peace Council will take the legal form of an international organization tasked with promoting stability, restoring governance, and ensuring lasting peace in regions affected by or threatened with conflict. Its mandate will focus on practical cooperation, effective action, and partnerships designed to achieve tangible and sustainable results. Membership in the Council will be granted exclusively by invitation of the President of the United States of America.
Furthermore, the Kingdom of Morocco welcomed the announcement of the launch of the second phase of President Trump’s comprehensive peace plan, as well as the official establishment of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza as a temporary transitional body.
Under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty the King, Morocco reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace in the Middle East. This commitment supports the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, living side by side in peace and security with Israel, the statement concluded.
