ISLAMABAD: All Pakistan Private Schools and Colleges Association Central President Dr. Malik Abrar Hussain said that private educational institutions are the backbone of Pakistan’s education sector. The private sector has always achieved significant achievements by maintaining high educational standards. The Governor Punjab should play his role in the development of educational institutions established in backward areas and the promotion of education.
He expressed these views while addressing a press conference held at Punjab Group of Colleges, Jand after an emergency visit to other private educational institutions in the area, including Attock and Jand, yesterday. Principal of Punjab College Jand, renowned educationist Malik Matiullah, was also present on the occasion. Dr. Malik Abrar Hussain congratulated the Punjab College administration on the excellent results and said that the recent matriculation results are proof that students of private schools have secured the highest positions in education boards across the country, which reflects how seriously and responsibly the private sector is engaged in building the educational future of the country. Dr. Malik Abrar Hussain demanded that the Governor of Punjab take serious steps for the development of education in his constituency, especially Attock District, Jand Tehsil and other backward areas. The students there should also be provided with the same educational facilities as those in urban areas so that the entire country can make equal progress in the field of education. They should also play their role in the development of private educational institutions established here. He said that private educational institutions are facing several challenges, including inflation, heavy taxes and non-cooperation at the government level. If the government really wants educational development, then facilities should be provided to private institutions, their consultation should be included in policy making and their role in the field of education should be recognized at the government level.
