Sifatullah elected President, Shah Saud Vice President, and Qasim Farooq General Secretary; unity termed a positive sign

The cabinet of the Prosecution Officers Welfare Association (POWA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the year 2026–27 has been elected unopposed. According to a press release, Sifatullah was elected President, Shah Saud Vice President, and Qasim Farooq General Secretary.

As per the notification issued by the POWA Election Commissioner, Director Legal, Directorate of Prosecution Sifatullah was elected President; Deputy Public Prosecutor Ms. Sahibzadi Yasmeen Ara Senior Vice President; Deputy Public Prosecutor Shah Saud Vice President; District Public Prosecutor Qasim Farooq General Secretary; Deputy Public Prosecutor Waheed Aasim Joint Secretary; Assistant Public Prosecutor Aamir Hamza Qureshi Press Secretary; and Deputy Public Prosecutor Mujeeb ur Rehman Finance Secretary.

Executive members were also elected from various divisions, including Ms. Qamar Nisa from Peshawar Division, Muhammad Hashim from Mardan Division, Afaq Ahmad from Hazara Division, Muhammad Farooq from Malakand Division, Muhammad Bilal Khan from Kohat Division, Abdul Samad Khan from Bannu Division, and Muhammad Tasleem from Dera Ismail Khan Division.

The newly elected office-bearers expressed their resolve to play an active role in the welfare of prosecution officers, resolution of their issues, protection of professional rights, and strengthening of the institution. The prosecution community termed the unopposed election as a positive sign of unity and cohesion.
